Job Description

Skills and Experience Sought:
Active North Carolina Speech-Language Pathology license (required) CCC-SLP credentials Recent school-based SLP work preferred Ability to supervise an SLPA if needed and willingness to mentor less-experienced colleagues Proficient with assistive listening devices and technology integration for student communication Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative mindset, and genuine passion for student progress Not accepting virtual or remote (Voco SLP) candidates for this position
Key Responsibilities:
Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative speech-language services for students, using the latest evidence-based practices Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to promote communication goals across school settings Document student progress and maintain compliance with state and local regulations Act as a resource for staff and families regarding use of assistive listening devices Supervise and support an SLPA when applicable, fostering professional development A fulfilling work atmosphere, a collegial interdisciplinary team, and a structured school calendar make this a chance to grow professionally while making a meaningful difference.
