Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an exciting contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist serving students Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, from ASAP through June 4, 2027. Make a lasting impact by providing top-quality speech and language therapy services throughout the school year. Your expertise will play a key role in assessment, intervention, and the development of communication skills for students with a range of needs.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Current, valid North Carolina SLP license Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred Previous experience delivering speech therapy services within school settings Proficiency with assistive listening technology Willingness and ability to supervise SLPAs if needed Flexibility to adapt to a caseload determined by prior experience Strong collaboration and communication skills Commitment to evidence-based practices and ethical standards
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy to students Administer evaluations and participate in multidisciplinary planning Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Work collaboratively with educational staff, families, and other service providers Document student progress clearly and meet all compliance requirements Provide supervision and support for SLPAs if placed in the assignment Utilize and manage assistive listening devices, providing staff and student training as needed Participate in ongoing professional development This position places you at the heart of student achievement, offering the chance to make a difference every day while working alongside dedicated professionals.
