Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist serving students in a vibrant school environment near Thomasville, NC. Your expertise will support children's communication skills, enabling them to thrive academically and socially through personalized, impactful interventions. Ideal candidates will have experience or interest in working with school-age populations, utilizing both in-person and teletherapy modalities. Collaboration with educators, families, and student support staff is an integral part of this role, ensuring every student receives comprehensive, individualized care.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current or eligible CCC-SLP certification (Clinical Certificate of Competence) Open to Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates seeking supervision North Carolina SLP licensure or eligibility required Background in pediatric speech-language assessment and treatment; school-based experience preferred Comfortable delivering services via teletherapy as needed Effective communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students K-12 Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs Provide direct therapy services, both in person and through virtual platforms Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating on educational plans and progress updates Monitor student achievement and document progress toward goals Educate and consult with teachers, parents, and caregivers on speech-language strategies This contract role offers the chance to make a difference while working alongside a supportive, interdisciplinary team.
