PRN or Part-Time (Consistent Need for 25-30 Hours Per Week) Make a Difference Every Day Prestige Care Center of Plattsmouth is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. You'll work alongside experienced healthcare professionals committed to delivering exceptional, evidence-based care in a supportive skilled nursing environment. Responsibilities Evaluate residents with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders. Develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and resident needs. Provide evidence-based speech therapy services that promote communication, cognitive function, and safe swallowing. Accurately document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with state, federal, and payer guidelines. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapy colleagues, residents, and families to ensure coordinated care and successful outcomes. Educate residents, caregivers, and staff on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques. Participate in interdisciplinary care plan meetings and quality improvement initiatives. Maintain therapy equipment and ensure a safe treatment environment. Comply with ASHA standards of practice, state regulations, and facility policies. Qualifications Current, unrestricted Speech-Language Pathologist license in the State of Nebraska. Meets all educational and certification requirements for state licensure. Current CPR certification (preferred). Valid driver's license. Knowledge of skilled nursing regulations, documentation requirements, and Medicare guidelines. Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care is preferred but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
