Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by providing essential speech and language services in a supportive educational environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to work full-time throughout the entire school year, with a flexible 4-5 day workweek in a dynamic middle and high school setting.
Key Qualifications:
Hold a valid SLP certification with CCC. Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school-based environments. Strong understanding of the unique communication needs of middle and high school students. Skilled in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, families, and other support staff. Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess and identify students' speech and language needs using standardized tools and observations. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) addressing students' speech and language goals. Deliver direct therapy services in individual and group settings, adapting techniques for age and developmental stage. Collaborate with educators and parents to support student progress and integrate strategies in the classroom. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support teams. Maintain accurate records, document progress, and complete necessary reports in a timely manner.
