Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' communication development in a primary school setting. This full-time role is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) passionate about making a difference, and brings the chance to work collaboratively with educators and school specialists near the Corfu, NY area. You'll work with a caseload of approximately 50 students from September 8th through June 25th, delivering vital speech-language services during school hours, 8:30am to 3:30pm.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid SLP-CCC credentials Experience working within school settings, particularly at the primary/elementary level Preferred background using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and related intervention techniques highly valued Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide direct therapy to students with a variety of speech, language, and communication needs Integrate AAC strategies into therapy for students requiring these supports Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to maximize student progress and inclusion Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, progress reports, and required paperwork Engage with families and caregivers to support student goals and progress Deliver services primarily within a single school building for continuity and relationship-building This opportunity allows you to create meaningful connections with young learners and school staff while utilizing your specialized skills in a supportive, school-based environment.
