Position Summary:
As a school-based Speech Language Therapist / Clinical Fellow, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality speech therapy services within an educational setting. You will be responsible for evaluating children across different grade levels, planning interventions, and developing instructional plans tailored to meet their specific functional and educational needs.
Responsibilities include:
Provide ongoing treatment to assigned caseload Document, monitor, analyze, and report students' progress and effects of treatment regularly in conjunction with school deadlines and procedures. Conduct educationally relevant evaluations and report findings within Evaluation Team Reports (ETRs) Write educationally relevant therapy goals and relevant student information background information within Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs) Attend and report evaluations findings and therapy recommendations in family friendly language during IEP and ETR meetings. Contribute to building a positive, supportive, and learning culture through collaboration and ongoing communication between school personnel and families. Maintenance and documentation of ongoing therapy minutes and report due dates. Complete necessary Medicaid billing in conjunction with school deadlines and procedures. Requirements Current licensure within the state of Ohio to practice Speech-Language Therapy Current Ohio Department of Education Certification (can be completed upon hire). Clinical Fellowship Year will be considered. Strong Assessment and intervention planning skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team Passion for working with children and helping them overcome developmental, education and motor challenges Commitment to ongoing professional development Preferred Requirements Ohio Department of Education and Workforce Certification Experience working as a Speech-Language Therapist in a school or educational setting NCTA is an Equal Opportunity Employer Salary Description $30-$50/hr
