The Village at Marymount is a mission-driven skilled nursing and assisted living community dedicated to exceptional resident care, teamwork, and a supportive environment. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled PRN Speech Language Pathologist to join our rehabilitation team and support residents in achieving their highest level of communication, cognition, and swallowing function.
Position Summary:
As a PRN Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services to residents with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders. This role supports both skilled nursing and assisted living residents, focusing on individualized treatment plans that enhance safety, independence, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing evaluations Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings Provide therapy for communication disorders, dysphagia, cognitive impairments, and voice issues Complete documentation including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with facility and regulatory standards Collaborate with nursing, therapy, dietary, and interdisciplinary team members to support resident goals Participate in care plan meetings as needed Educate residents, families, and staff on communication strategies, swallowing safety, and compensatory techniques Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility guidelines
Qualifications:
Current Ohio Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license in good standing Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCSLP) preferred; CFY considered with appropriate supervision Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care strongly preferred Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills Ability to work independently and adapt to changing resident needs Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
