Job Description
This role provides speech and language services to preschool students aged 3-5 with special education needs on a 36-week itinerant contract, delivering therapy, assessments, and IEP development while collaborating with teachers and parents. The position offers competitive hourly pay up to $70 and a bonus structure.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language services to preschool students aged 3-5 with special education needs Assess, diagnose, and develop individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and parents Implement therapy programs using provided materials, testing kits, and lesson plans Maintain thorough documentation and weekly paperwork within designated time periods Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support student progress and adapt interventions as needed
Qualifications:
Current special education teaching certification Valid in-person Speech Language Pathologist certification Minimum 1 year of experience as an SLP, preferably with preschool students Ability to work in an itinerant role across specified areas Experience working with children ages 3 to 5 with special education needs Proficiency with testing kits, lesson planning, and documentation Must pass background check and have reliable technology (laptop, iPad) Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills
