Job Description

Overview Speak N Play Therapy provides high-quality, play-based speech therapy for children of all ages and abilities. We believe therapy should be fun, engaging, and effective. As a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) , you'll have the flexibility to create a schedule that works for you while taking over an established caseload of current clients. The available caseload does not currently support a full part-time schedule, making this a great opportunity for an SLP looking for flexible, supplemental hours with the opportunity to grow their caseload over time. You'll work with children ages 0-13 in the clinic. Your role will include providing individualized speech and language therapy, conducting assessments as needed, developing treatment plans, and using engaging, play-based techniques tailored to each child's needs and age. You'll collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to help children strengthen their communication skills, build confidence, and make meaningful progress toward their goals. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication abilities. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and specific needs. Implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills, including articulation, fluency, and language comprehension. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and families to support patient care and progress. Provide early intervention services for pediatric patients to address developmental delays. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes. Educate patients and families on strategies to enhance communication skills outside of therapy sessions. Stay updated with the latest research and techniques in speech therapy. Requirements Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist. ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred, but not required. Experience or knowledge in pediatrics. Strong communication skills and creativity in tailoring therapy. Familiarity with patient assessment techniques and effective treatment methodologies. Understanding of anatomy and physiology related to speech production and language processing. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
