Stay current with advancements in speech therapy practices, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to pediatric care. Skills Prior experience working with children in school or early intervention settings is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of pediatrics, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to speech and swallowing disorders. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess communication functions comprehensively. Effective communication skills for working with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to apply evidence-based speech therapy techniques tailored for early intervention programs. Familiarity with patient assessment tools specific to pediatric populations.
