School-Based Speech Language Pathologist

Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Transform students' lives by providing dedicated speech and language services onsite in a supportive educational setting in the Brownsville, TX area. This rewarding contract opportunity is perfect for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist who thrives on making a difference in children's communication, learning, and confidence. This position offers 18-24 hours per week assisting a campus with a caseload of approximately 50 students. Work directly with children in-person, delivering high-impact interventions and collaborating with a dynamic school team. This is an on-site position; remote arrangements are not available at this time.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Valid state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology (or eligibility to obtain) School-based SLP experience strongly preferred Ability to adapt communication and therapy to different grade levels Strong collaboration skills with educators, families, and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language needs for students Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals Provide direct therapy services to students within the school setting Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success Maintain thorough and timely student documentation in compliance with regulations Support and empower students through effective communication strategies and interventions As a contracted Speech-Language Pathologist in this role, you'll enjoy a flexible schedule and the chance to build meaningful relationships with students and staff, knowing your expertise leads to lasting, positive changes.
