Job Description

Make an immediate impact supporting K-12 students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist, working district-wide in a vibrant educational setting near Denton, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to work onsite for the full school year through late May 2027, providing expert speech therapy services and making a meaningful difference in the lives of children across multiple campuses. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about working collaboratively within school environments and eager to share their knowledgedistrict leadership would prefer SLPs who are comfortable with or open to supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) onsite. Caseload assignments will be clarified upon placement, but will span grades K-12.
Qualifications & Experience:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Current Texas SLP license in good standing ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required Recent experience working as a school-based SLP Willingness to supervise SLPAs onsite, supporting their growth and ensuring quality care Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills Flexibility to work with a varied caseload across different school sites
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy to students as outlined in IEPs Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and participate in eligibility/IEP meetings Maintain accurate records, prepare progress reports, and collaborate regularly with educators and families Supervise and mentor SLPAs as needed Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and productive therapy environment Youll find fulfillment as you foster growth in your students, contribute to a collaborative special services team, and expand your own professional skills.
