Effective Parkinson's Speech Therapy Imagine being a part of a speech therapy clinic that has developed an evidence-based, life-altering program for individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's and related disorders. Imagine being part of a speech therapy clinic that doesn't charge for services, doesn't have a billing office, and isn't concerned with insurance or Medicare coverage. Imagine being able to provide patients with as much speech therapy as needed to regain and retain their speech and swallowing abilities. Parkinson Voice Project is seeking two full-time Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) at its headquarters in Richardson, Texas, to evaluate and treat individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's and related disorders. The ideal candidate will be a Texas-licensed, ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist with at least 5 years of clinical experience and an understanding of motor learning principles. Caring for individuals living with a chronic, degenerative condition is more than just a job… It's a calling… and our new SLPs will be sensitive to this reality and will reflect empathy throughout each patient's journey. Our future SLPs will genuinely care about every patient's well-being and demonstrate through deliberate, thoughtful actions that Parkinson Voice Project is with our patients for the long haul. These SLPs will go the extra mile to help our patients, whether by providing referrals, hopping on a Zoom call to educate their family, checking in with a simple phone call, or answering questions about swallowing disorders and cognitive challenges.
