School Speech Language Pathologist - Berryville, VA

Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in the Winchester, VA area through an engaging contract opportunity beginning as soon as possible and continuing through late May 2027. As a valued professional in this setting, you'll collaborate closely with other educators and specialists on-site, supporting student communication abilities and overall school success. Your expertise will contribute to a positive learning environment and help children reach their full potential. This is a 37.5 hour per week position, providing consistent engagement with students and staff. The assignment is onsite only, creating opportunities for direct connection and hands-on intervention within the school community.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current VA Speech-Language Pathology license SLP-CCC certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence) Experience with school-aged students is highly valued Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills Ability to adapt therapy plans for diverse student needs Familiarity with IEP documentation and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students in accordance with their IEPs Evaluate student progress, maintain records, and provide data-driven recommendations Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational teams to promote student achievement Conduct assessments and contribute to eligibility determination meetings Participate actively in school-based intervention initiatives Offer consultation and support to school staff regarding communication disorders
