Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting a vibrant school community near South Burlington, VT. As a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, you'll play a vital role in empowering students from pre-school through 4th grade to grow, communicate, and connect. This flexible, part-time position (.8 FTE, open to less) offers the chance to work closely with a diverse and manageable caseload of 15 students—all within a single, small and welcoming school environment.
What You'll Bring:
Active SLP license or eligible for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or licensed SLPA credentials considered Passion for working with preschool and elementary-aged children Team player mentality, comfortable collaborating with educators, families, and other specialists Willingness to either provide or receive supervision as needed, supporting growth for yourself and your peers Commitment to evidence-based practice and individualized student success
Your Day-to-Day:
Conduct speech and language assessments tailored to student needs Develop and implement effective treatment plans for a range of communication challenges Deliver direct therapy services—some students may receive services up to 5 days per week Maintain clear communication with families and education teams regarding progress and strategies Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings to support well-rounded student development Prepare for an August 21st in-service start, with the student day beginning on August 26th This position offers valuable experience with a close-knit caseload, the support of experienced supervisors, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact in a student's formative years.
