This full-time contract opportunity provides a consistent 40-hour workweek and runs from August 26, 2026, through June 7, 2027. You'll play a key role in helping students develop communication skills—essential to both classroom success and everyday life—while enjoying a collaborative educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Current SLP license in Vermont (or ability to obtain licensure prior to start) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility Experience with school-aged and elementary populations preferred Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Collaborative mindset, comfortable working with teachers, staff, and families
Core Responsibilities:
Manage an elementary school caseload, delivering direct and indirect speech/language therapy services Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement IEP goals Prepare thorough and timely documentation for IEPs, therapy sessions, and progress reports Participate in student support meetings, focusing solely on speech-related services—no bus duty or non-therapeutic school assignments Offer support and guidance to staff and families regarding communication strategies
