Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary-aged students for the full school year through June 16th. You'll collaborate within a vibrant educational setting located near Fairchild Air Force Base, WA, working alongside a dedicated team including two colleague SLPs. This school features a diverse and expanding population of nearly 600 students, including three preschool classrooms and two specialized Autism/IDD classrooms that benefit from a collaborative therapeutic approach.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active state licensure as an SLP or eligibility as an SLP Clinical Fellow (CFY); SLPA candidates with school or healthcare experience are also welcome to apply Experience working in school settings preferred; familiarity with teletherapy is a plus Demonstrated skills or interest in serving elementary-aged students, including preschoolers and children with autism or intellectual/developmental disabilities Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams Strong organizational and documentation abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for a varied caseload, with a focus on the elementary and specialized classrooms Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) Provide direct and consultative therapy services both in-person and through teletherapy, as needed Collaborate with teachers, SLP colleagues, and support staff to optimize student success and inclusion Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state and district policies Participate in IEP meetings and parent consultations to support holistic student development
