School-Based Speech Language Pathologist

Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school-based role supporting students from 4K through 8th grade in an engaging educational environment. This full-time, contract opportunity offers the chance to work closely with approximately 30 students, addressing articulation, language needs, and providing targeted interventions for a few students on the autism spectrum. As an established Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), your expertise will be valued in fostering communication growth and helping students overcome obstacles to academic success.
Key Qualifications:
Valid state licensure/certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Prior experience in a school setting with varied age groups (preschool to middle school) Proficiency in supporting diverse communication needs, including articulation and receptive/expressive language Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders and relevant interventions Strong organizational and documentation skills Collaborative approach with educators, families, and support staff Bilingual skills are a plus and highly welcomed
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver direct therapy services, targeting articulation and language objectives Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring Consult and collaborate with teachers and families to support student growth Utilize evidence-based practices tailored to each student's strengths and needs Maintain compliance with school policies and professional standards Provide expertise on communication strategies and classroom modifications This contract position is ideal for a dedicated SLP who thrives in a collaborative, student-centered environment, and values professional growth.
