CCC-ASHA
certification and 3+ years of experience including 1 year in NICU. Details Acute care hospital setting within the Rehab Services department, specifically the NICU 20-bed unit with a census of 14-16 patients Works with infants less than 36 weeks gestation Treats premature infants, infant feeding disorders, congenital disorders, craniofacial abnormalities, RDS, and cardiac conditions Utilizes Epic EMR for documentation Unit-specific equipment includes infant video, with FEES experience considered a bonus Monday through Friday day shift schedule, either 8:00am-4:30pm or 7:30am-4:00pm No floating required No call requirements No weekend rotation No holiday coverage required Requirements Active SLP license required if applicable BLS certification required CCC certification through ASHA required Advanced training in infant feeding required Certified Neonatal Therapist credential preferred Minimum 3 years of experience required, including at least 1 year of NICU experience Most recent experience within the last year preferred Experience with Bayley 4 assessment preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills for interdisciplinary teamwork Preemie neuro assessment skills required Epic EMR experience preferred At least 1 professional reference dated within the last year required, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN Additional Information Provide general speech therapy services in the NICU, including feeding therapy for fragile feeders Conduct preemie neuro assessments as part of patient care Work closely with an interdisciplinary team including nurses, other speech therapists, OT team, and on-site providers Dedicated NICU office space with a collaborative, integrated team culture On-site provider coverage available at all times New Employee Orientation (NEO) required, with up to 5 days of unit-specific orientation Hospital-provided scrubs available with no color preference Free on-site parking Access to on-campus workout facility First-time travelers will be considered for this position No radius restrictions; local candidates accepted at the same rate Requested time off must be approved by the manager Former employees of the health system or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before being eligible for travel assignments
