Job Description

Fremont County School District Number 25 Riverton, Wyoming Speech Language Pathologist Reports to:

QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology License from the WY State Board of Examiners of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or ASHA Clinical Fellowship (CF-SLP)
POSITION SUMMARY
To provide quality speech/language services for the District
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluate and diagnose specific speech or language deficits of referred students in the district. Prepare and submit accurate and appropriate evaluations, screenings, and reports in a professional and timely manner. Design appropriate goals, objectives, and timelines for educationally-relevant speech-language services related to documented areas of need for eligible students. Provide quality educationally-relevant speech and language services based on goals related to documented areas of need for eligible students. Monitor and document progress on IEP goals and communicate progress with the school-based team (student, parents/guardians, teachers, and other team members). Collaborate with teachers and service providers in the development of a variety of strategies to meet the educational needs of students with special education services. Complete screenings and communicate the results in a timely manner. Follow time schedules, attend and participate in all assigned meetings, and maintain a positive, professional manner with students, parents, and staff. Maintain confidentiality standards as defined by the local, state, and federal rules and regulations. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies and regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

EVALUATION
Performance on this job will be evaluated by the School Principal and the Special Services Director in accordance with school board policy and administrative regulations on evaluation of certified or classified personnel.
SALARY SCHEDULE
This position will be paid according to the approved Licensed Professional Salary Schedule.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
School Year Calendar, unless otherwise assigned by supervisor.
