EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Must have completed a certified program of study to be a Speech and Language Pathology Assistant
REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION INCLUDE
Must have State Certification from the Speech Pathology and Audiology Board of California
Must have a valid class C Driver License
Knowledge of normal speech, language, and hearing development
Knowledge of language disorders, articulation disorders, acquired disorders and rehabilitation techniques
Knowledge of hearing disorders, aural rehabilitation techniques, and phonetics
Ability to deal effectively with attitudes and behaviors of students
Ability to maintain student performance documentation
Ability to communicate screening results and supplemental information to supervisors
Ability to administer behavior and treatment program
