View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications Under general supervision, assists a certificated Language Speech Pathologist or Specialist in providing instruction to individual or small groups of students in the specific area of speech and language communication; supports and conducts individual or group speech therapy sessions for assigned students with language disabilities in accordance with the student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP); assists in testing and evaluating student performance and progress; and performs related work as required. Associate of Arts Degree in the area of speech-language; State licensure as a speech-language pathology assistant is highly desirable; one year of experience working with school-age children in an organized, educational environment. A valid Class C, California driver's license, a driving record that meets district insurability requirement and use of a personal vehicle is required. Valid First Aid and CPR Certificates issued by an authorized agency are required.
