ProCare Therapy is seeking a Speech Language Pathology Assistant for a school-based, contracted position near Fairfax, CA for the 26/27 school semester. A Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed to provide services to a diverse group of students ranging in age from 6 to 22, including many on the Autism Spectrum. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your SLPA skills to help students build confidence and communicative abilities in a collaborative school environment. The position offers 12 hours per week, allowing for a balanced schedule and rewarding professional experience.
Qualifications & Desired Background:
Current licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in California Experience supporting children or young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred Previous experience in a school or educational setting is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, teachers, and families Passion for helping students achieve communication goals Organizational skills for managing caseloads and documentation requirements
Responsibilities:
Assist supervising Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering speech and language services Support students aged 6-22, designing and implementing activities tailored to individual needs Work directly with students on the Autism Spectrum to enhance communication skills Document student progress and maintain accurate records Participate in team meetings, collaborating on student progress and strategies Follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and adapt interventions as directed Explore a role where you'll make a meaningful difference for students while maintaining a flexible, part-time schedule.
