Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling role supporting students' communication development as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant in a dynamic school environment near Jackson, CA. Collaborate daily with dedicated educators and Speech-Language Pathologists to deliver high-quality speech and language services that truly make a difference for young learners.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Speech Communications, or related area, or AAS degree from an accredited SLPA program Active SLPA license or certification Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, especially in challenging or high-stress situations Ability to work across multiple school sites as needed Commitment to following students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Team-player mentality with a passion for supporting diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect speech-language services, implementing IEP goals for students Gather data, document progress, and modify approaches under the guidance of a supervising SLP Engage in effective communication with educational staff and families to support student outcomes Travel between school buildings if necessary; flexibility is a must Uphold professional ethics and best practices in all aspects of service delivery
