Job Description

Part-Time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Join the Chatterbox Team! Chatterbox Speech Pathology, Inc. is an SLP-owned, family-centered pediatric private practice providing speech and occupational therapy services to children of all ages. We are committed to supporting children and their families by recognizing each child's unique strengths and needs through individualized, neurodiversity-affirming, child-led therapy. Our clinicians work with children with a wide range of communication needs, including speech sound disorders, language delays, fluency differences, autism, social communication needs, and other developmental differences. We are currently seeking a Part-Time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide speech and language therapy at one or more of our school partnership locations . Additional hours will also be available on an as-needed basis at one or more of our three clinic locations. This is an ideal opportunity for an SLPA who enjoys working with children, values collaboration, and is looking for a flexible position with the potential for a combination of school-based and clinic-based hours . Position Summary Under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, the SLPA will provide direct speech-language therapy services by implementing individualized treatment plans designed to support each child's communication goals and functional participation across environments. Responsibilities Implement individualized speech-language treatment plans developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist. Provide engaging, child-centered therapy sessions that support each child's individualized communication goals. Provide individual and/or small-group therapy at assigned school partnership locations. Collect objective data and accurately document treatment sessions in accordance with company policies, payer requirements, and professional standards. Communicate effectively and professionally with supervising SLPs, families, school personnel, and other team members regarding client participation and progress. Utilize evidence-based, neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based therapeutic strategies. Incorporate children's interests, play, and meaningful activities to promote engagement and functional communication. Collaborate with SLPs, SLPAs, occupational therapists, COTAs, educators, and other team members to provide coordinated, family-centered care. Maintain a safe, supportive, positive, and engaging therapy environment. Participate in supervision and maintain ongoing communication with the supervising SLP. Adhere to Chatterbox policies, professional standards, and all applicable California regulations governing SLPA practice. Qualifications Current California Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license in good standing. Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of one year of pediatric SLPA experience preferred. Experience supporting children with a variety of speech, language, and communication needs. School-based, preschool, or pediatric private-practice experience is a plus. Strong communication, interpersonal, documentation, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the supervising SLP and interdisciplinary team. Dependable, flexible, and comfortable working across different pediatric settings. Reliable transportation and ability to travel to assigned school and/or clinic locations. Schedule Part-time Primarily weekday daytime and after school hours Services provided at one or more Chatterbox school partnership locations Additional clinic hours is also available on an as-needed/PRN basis Opportunity for flexibility based on clinician availability and company needs Why Join Chatterbox?
