Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant, where your work will make a meaningful difference for school-aged students with communication and language needs. In this onsite role, you'll be valued as a key team member, providing both direct and indirect speech-language services under the direct supervision of experienced, licensed SLPs. Your expertise will contribute to implementing students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) across one or more school sites.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Speech Communications, or completion of an AAS degree from an accredited SLPA program Current, active SLPA license Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills—especially in high-pressure or crisis scenarios Ability to travel between assigned school buildings as needed Experience working with diverse student populations is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language services as mandated by students' IEPs Document progress and collaborate with supervising SLPs to adjust interventions as needed Maintain compliance with school policies, state, and federal regulations Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families to optimize support and outcomes Attend professional development or training sessions to stay current in the field
