Key Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or a Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid California license as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Prior experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster productive relationships with students, parents, and team members Enthusiasm for working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary educational team
Core Responsibilities:
Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering direct therapy and support services to students with a variety of communication disorders Collect and document data on student progress under the supervision of the supervising SLP Help implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and participate in school meetings as needed Prepare materials and adapt resources to meet individual student needs Communicate effectively with teachers, families, and other professional staff to ensure coordinated services
