Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting the work of a licensed SLP in a close-knit district near Sunnyvale, CA. This contract position gives you the chance to lend your expertise, all while enjoying a flexible, part-time schedule—just one day per week. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year.
What We're Looking For:
Active SLPA licensure in California Previous experience in school settings, preferably with K-12 populations Solid communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with SLPs and educational staff Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for students with speech and language needs Ready to jump in and make an immediate impact
What You'll Do:
Work closely with the supervising SLP to support students' individualized education plans Assist in conducting speech-language screenings and implementing therapy activities as directed Document student progress and maintain accurate records Participate in team meetings when needed, providing valuable insight and updates Adapt session materials for individualized instruction, ensuring each student receives targeted support Help facilitate a positive learning atmosphere in a small district where every staff member's contribution is valued
