Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare and educational team. Duties Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized speech-language therapy plans for clients across pediatric and school settings Support children with language disorders, speech sound disorders, fluency issues, voice problems, and other communication challenges Conduct therapy sessions under supervision, utilizing evidence-based techniques to promote child language development and speech improvement Support early intervention programs by working with children with disabilities to enhance their communication skills Collaborate with educators, therapists, parents, and caregivers to ensure cohesive care plans and effective client communication Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with organizational standards Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and adapt therapy strategies as needed Skills Prior experience working with early childhood, children in educational or clinical environments, especially those with disabilities, autism or developmental delays Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to phonology, speech production and swallowing functions Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology and acute care settings Experience supporting language disorders, speech therapy techniques, speech-language therapy plan implementation, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Strong understanding of child language development milestones and early intervention strategies Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse populations effectively Excellent client communication skills to foster trust and engagement with children and their families Experience working within multidisciplinary teams in pediatric or school-based settings is highly valued Join us in empowering individuals through improved communication!
