Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic educational environment making a difference as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a nearby community. This contract position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with educators, speech-language pathologists, and families while supporting students' communication goals in a school-based setting.
Key Requirements:
Valid SLPA license or certification, or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Previous experience in a school environment is preferred Strong communication, documentation, and collaborative skills Familiarity with implementing treatment plans developed by SLPs Ability to work effectively with students across a diverse range of abilities and backgrounds Comfortable adapting to the needs of multiple classrooms or age groups
What You'll Be Doing:
Provide direct speech-language assistance to students under supervision of the supervising SLP Support individual and small group activities designed to enhance language, articulation, and communication skills Maintain accurate records of student progress and session activities Encourage and motivate students to participate fully in interventions Assist with preparation of therapy materials, scheduling sessions, and completing required paperwork Communicate regularly with supervising SLP and educational staff regarding student needs and progress
