Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting students' communication and academic success as a speech-language pathology assistant within a welcoming K-12 school environment. This full-time contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and extends through June 2027, offering steady, rewarding work Monday through Friday, with 35-37.5 hours per week. You'll join a collaborative special education team, providing direct services to a diverse caseload and potentially engaging with multiple school sites. Ideal candidates will thrive in dynamic, student-focused settings and are passionate about fostering growth in children and adolescents. Your expertise will enhance speech, language, and communication outcomes for students in the district.
Qualifications:
Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Experience in K-12 school settings strongly preferred Familiarity with IEP documentation, service delivery models, and school-based therapy Ability to collaborate with supervising SLPs, educational teams, and families Strong organizational skills and the flexibility to adapt to multiple sites as needed
Key Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of licensed SLPs Support implementation of IEP goals and track student progress Assist with screening and assessment procedures as required Maintain accurate records and contribute to required documentation Participate in team meetings and share insights with staff and families Travel between assigned locations within the district, if necessary This assignment offers the chance to build valuable experience, support a diverse community, and make a meaningful impact over the course of several academic years.
