School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant | Bushnell, Florida

Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students' communication and learning goals across two elementary schools and a floater assignment. This school-based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is ideally suited for a dedicated professional ready to make a direct impact on young learners, splitting the week between Lake Panasoffkee Elementary (2 days), Wildwood Elementary (2 days), and one flexible floater day. You'll work a steady schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week, starting as soon as possible through the end of the school year.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active SLPA license or certification meeting state requirements Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred, but enthusiastic early-career professionals are welcome Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with teachers, fellow therapists, and families Ability to reliably commute between multiple school sites within the week Commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and supporting individualized student plans
Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of an SLP Implement individualized communication goals as outlined in IEPs and treatment plans Conduct group and individual therapy sessions designed to improve speech, language, and social skills Support classroom teachers with carryover strategies and communication accommodations Track progress and assist with data collection for ongoing evaluations and meetings Adapt therapy activities to meet diverse student needs across multiple campuses This contract role offers a diverse weekly routine, the chance to collaborate with supportive educators, and an immediate start through the school year's end.
