Responsibilities Conduct thorough speech and language assessments to identify communication impairments and develop individualized therapy plans. Implement evidence-based speech-language therapy strategies targeting articulation, language comprehension, social communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing disorders. Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to ensure cohesive support for students' communication needs. Deliver direct therapy sessions through in-person or telehealth platforms, adapting techniques to meet diverse student requirements. Monitor progress regularly and adjust therapy approaches based on assessment outcomes and student response. Document all interventions, assessments, and progress notes accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) or electronic health record (EHR) systems. Educate families on speech-language development milestones and provide guidance for home practice to reinforce therapy goals. Experience Proven experience working with children in educational or clinical settings, particularly in pediatrics or early intervention programs. Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques, language development, physiology, anatomy relevant to speech production, and medical terminology. Experience conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations for diverse populations with speech impairments or disabilities. Familiarity with multidisciplinary collaboration in speech-language pathology to support holistic student care. Prior telehealth therapy experience is preferred; candidates should be comfortable delivering services remotely using secure platforms. Knowledge of working with geriatric patients is a plus but not required; a broad understanding of patient care principles enhances versatility. Ability to work effectively within school environments or similar educational settings while managing multiple caseloads efficiently.
