Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare and educational team. In this role, you will support licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering high-quality speech therapy services to a diverse population, including children and students with disabilities. Your expertise will help facilitate effective communication, support language development, and enhance the overall well-being of clients across various settings. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal client outcomes. Responsibilities Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in implementing speech-language therapy plans tailored to individual needs. Support children and students with speech and language disorders through engaging therapy activities aligned with their IEP (Individualized Education Program). Conduct assessments and document progress in accordance with clinical protocols, ensuring accurate record-keeping. Participate in multidisciplinary collaboration sessions with educators, therapists, and healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care strategies. Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote therapy sessions when appropriate, maintaining high standards of client engagement and progress tracking. Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to support therapy interventions effectively. Communicate clearly with clients, families, and team members to ensure understanding of therapy goals and progress updates. Qualifications Previous experience working with children or students with disabilities is highly preferred. Strong understanding of child language development and speech disorders support strategies. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology. Experience working in pediatric or school settings, including early intervention programs or school-based environments. Familiarity with speech therapy plan implementation, IEP processes, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Acute care experience or experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Pay:
$40.00 - $50.00 per hour
