MAKE A DIFFERENCE EVERY DAY

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Provide speech and language therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP
• Help children develop functional language, communication, and social communication skills
• Monitor and document patient progress
• Provide caregiver education and support as directed
• Collaborate with supervising SLPs, caregivers, and other members of the multidisciplinary team
• Communicate patient progress and treatment observations to the supervising SLP
• Assist with ongoing treatment planning and re-evaluation activities as permitted within the SLPA scope of practice

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Communication Disorders or a related qualifying field
• Current Florida SLPA License
• Level II fingerprinting/background clearance
• Valid Driver's License
• Professional Liability Insurance
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) experience preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent teamwork and organizational skills
• Genuine passion for helping children communicate, learn, and thrive

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Pediatric therapy experience (at least 1 years)
• Ability to assist patients in acquiring communication skills
• AAC experience (preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide speech services (treatment) to the patients
• Following treatment plan set by evaluating therapist
• Caregiver education
• Team collaboration
