Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic educational environment supporting the communication needs of students as a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This contract opportunity offers a well-rounded schedule near Leesburg, FL, working with elementary-aged learners in a collaborative and engaging setting. Your week will be thoughtfully balanced: spend two days each at Lake Panasoffkee Elementary and Wildwood Elementary, with one day serving as a flexible floater between sites. With a total of 37.5 hours per week, you'll enjoy variety while developing meaningful connections across school communities. The assignment will begin as soon as possible and continue through the end of the school year.
Qualifications:
Current licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the state Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to adapt to multiple elementary school environments Comfortable working closely with Speech-Language Pathologists and educational teams Reliable transportation for travel between assigned schools
Responsibilities:
Assist in delivering speech and language services under the supervision of a licensed SLP Support implementation of therapy plans and track student progress Collaborate with educators and school staff to create inclusive communication strategies Prepare therapy materials and maintain accurate documentation Engage with students individually and in small groups, fostering communication growth Serve flexibly to respond to fluctuating needs between locations This is a chance to expand your skills, enhance students' communication abilities, and work within a supportive, education-driven atmosphere.
