Your Role At Playabilities, we are seeking passionate Student Clinicians in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology to complete their final clinical rotation in a dynamic, play-based pediatric setting. This is your chance to apply everything you've learned in a real-world environment while working alongside experienced therapists who are eager to support your growth. Under the guidance of a Clinical Instructor (CI) or supervisor, you'll support a diverse pediatric caseload, contribute to engaging one-on-one sessions, and learn how to tailor interventions to each child's strengths and needs. You'll actively participate in all aspects of therapy—from planning and implementation to reflection and adaptation—bringing curiosity, creativity, and a desire to make a difference. This Level II / Level B rotation is your final step before entering the profession—and it's designed for students who are truly dedicated to pediatrics and know this is where they're meant to be. Placements are thoughtfully selected to help you thrive in a supportive, collaborative environment. Eligibility:
This must be the student's FINAL clinical rotation prior to graduation . (Level II
Occupational Therapy / Level B
Speech or Physical Therapy) Students must demonstrate a strong interest in pediatrics and should be confident that they wish to pursue a career in pediatric therapy following graduation.
Placement:
All Playabilities clinic locations are open to student placements. Students will be thoughtfully placed based on clinical needs, supervision availability, and where their skills and personality will be the best fit .
Schedule:
Students are expected to follow their supervisor's daily schedule, which may include early mornings or extended days depending on caseloads. Consistent attendance, punctuality, and professional presentation are essential.
Physical Demands:
Lifting:
Occasionally lift or move up to 30 pounds.
Mobility:
Sit or stand for long periods, walk, bend, and reach to interact with clients, set up therapy spaces, or move between rooms.
Technology:
Ability to use multiple computer components to track progress and maximize productivity.
Manual Tasks:
Utilize hands for documentation and therapy tools (e.g., stress balls, charts).
Occasional Physical Assistance:
Assisting Clients:
Light physical support may be required (e.g., guiding clients to a chair).
Therapy Tools:
Set up or adjust therapy aids such as sensory equipment, chairs, and visual aids.
Sensory Demands:
Hearing:
Actively listen to clients, picking up on tone, inflection, and non-verbal cues.
Vision:
Observe client behavior, interpret body language, and review written and electronic documentation.
Speech:
Clear and effective verbal communication with clients, families, and team members.

Maintain professionalism in emotionally charged situations or when clients are in distress.
Physical Proximity:
Comfortable working closely with clients and maintaining appropriate physical boundaries.

Maintain sustained focus during therapy and while documenting case notes.

Ability to work in various settings such as office, clinic, remote (if applicable), or community locations.
