Duties Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering speech therapy interventions tailored to each child's needs. Implement therapy activities designed to improve speech, language, and communication skills for children in pediatric and early intervention programs. Support students with diverse needs by providing one-on-one or group therapy sessions in school, clinical, or community settings. Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans. Collaborate with educators, parents, and caregivers to ensure consistent support and reinforcement of therapy goals. Monitor and report on children's progress, adjusting activities as needed to maximize development outcomes. Follow all safety protocols related to acute care environments and adhere to medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy knowledge requirements. Requirements Prior experience working with children in educational or clinical settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of pediatrics, speech therapy techniques, and early intervention strategies. Familiarity with medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy relevant to speech-language pathology. Experience working with students in early education environments and programs. Strong understanding of IEP processes and procedures for special education planning. Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, educators, and healthcare professionals. Certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) is required where applicable; ongoing professional development is encouraged.
