Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist or SLPa to join our team. In this role, you will assess and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in school aged students. You will work collaboratively with families and educators to develop individualized treatment plans that promote effective communication skills and enhance the quality of life and access to education for students. This is for four days per week (T-F) for 6-7 hour days. School Based. Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify speech and language disorders. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals. Provide direct speech therapy services in individual or group settings. Utilize evidence-based practices to support patient progress and development. Collaborate with parents and teachers to ensure comprehensive care. Educate students and families about communication disorders and strategies for improvement. Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory standards. Participate in early intervention programs for children with speech and language delays. Stay updated on advancements in speech therapy techniques and methodologies. Qualifications A degree in Speech Language Pathology (or SLPA) from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist (or SLPA). Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient assessment techniques. Experience working with pediatric populations is preferred. Familiarity with early intervention strategies and school-based therapy practices is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and their families. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
