Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding opportunity as a School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year near the vibrant Chesterfield, MO area. This contract, full-time position offers a consistent weekly schedule of 32.5 hours, with openings available to work with students across all grade levels. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active SLPA license or eligibility to obtain credential in the state of Missouri Previous experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in a school or pediatric setting is highly preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with students, teachers, and supervisors Ability to adapt instruction to meet the varied needs of students from diverse backgrounds and abilities Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing session notes and documentation
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language support to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Implement targeted communication interventions as described in students' IEPs Assist with screening and progress monitoring tasks to support each student's growth Collaborate with classroom teachers and other educational team members to ensure coordinated care Prepare and adapt materials for individualized and group therapy sessions Maintain accurate records and data on student progress and service delivery Experience the benefits of working in a dynamic school environment, where every day brings new opportunities to support student success and professional growth.
