Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students' communication growth as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the upcoming school year. This full-time, contract position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with educators and speech-language pathologists, making a tangible impact in an enriching school environment near High Point, NC.
Qualifications and Experience:
Associate's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant studies, or comparable program completion Active state licensure or eligibility as an SLPA Previous experience in a school setting is a plus Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Passion for facilitating student success in speech and language development
Key Responsibilities:
Work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to implement therapy plans for K-12 students Assist in conducting screenings and supporting speech-language assessment activities Provide direct speech and language services in individual or small group sessions, as outlined in student IEPs Monitor, record, and report on student progress toward individualized goals Support collaboration with teachers, other service providers, and families to enhance student outcomes Maintain accurate documentation of all therapy activities and required records Help prepare therapy materials and activities tailored to students' diverse needs This contract opportunity allows you to gain valuable experience throughout the entire school year while helping children reach their full communicative potential.
