Speech Support-Para Quest Academy - 3.5 Las Vegas, NV Job Details Part-time From $15 an hour 16 hours ago Qualifications School experience Interpersonal skills High school diploma or GED Working with students Relationship building Full Job Description Part-Time Sep.1-December 17th 3 Days Per Week Schedule will be based on the needs of the school and speech services. Essential Responsibilities Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist with speech and language activities. Work with individual students or small groups as directed by the SLP. Reinforce communication, speech, language, and classroom skills. Support students with following directions and participating appropriately. Assist with implementing accommodations and supports identified in student IEPs. Collect student data as directed by the SLP or special education staff. Maintain confidentiality of student records and information. Provide a positive, supportive, and safe environment for students. Communicate professionally with teachers, administrators, service providers, and families as appropriate. Assist students with transitions and classroom activities when needed. Perform other duties as assigned by school administration or the supervising SLP. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience working with children or in a school setting preferred. Experience working with students receiving special education services is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, dependable, and organized. Ability to work independently while following the direction of the SLP and school administration. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Must successfully complete required background and employment screening. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, is patient and compassionate, and can build positive relationships with students. Experience in special education, speech services, or as a paraprofessional is preferred but not required.
Pay:
From $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
