Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in University Park, PA

Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting student success as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a school setting near University Park, PA. In this dynamic position, youll collaborate closely with a Tele SLP, sharing a diverse caseload across three school buildings: elementary, middle, and high school. This opportunity allows you to make a difference with students at various developmental stages, delivering meaningful speech-language services. Your week will be structured around a 35-hour schedule, working directly with a caseload of approximately 41 students (subject to change). You'll provide 55 thirty-minute therapy sessions, including 16 administered individually and 37 in small groups, ensuring individualized attention and effective group interventions.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
SLPA certification required; must be eligible to practice in the state Previous school-based experience preferred Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team, including remote professionals Strong organizational skills to manage varying caseload demands Passion for helping students communicate, learn, and thrive
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality speech-language therapy to students ranging from elementary through high school Partner with a Tele SLP to share insights and ensure consistent care plans Prepare materials, track data, and document progress in accordance with school guidelines Adapt interventions for individual and group sessions Communicate effectively with educators, support staff, and families Please note, due to union policies, the district posts for internal candidates and may provide notice if a direct hire occurs.
