Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Hold an active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license in the state of Texas Previous experience working with school-aged children is highly preferred Knowledge of speech and language disorders in pediatric populations Ability to implement therapy activities as directed by a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Strong organizational and communication skills for maintaining accurate records and interacting with students, staff, and families Adaptability and a team-oriented mindset, fostering collaboration within multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP, addressing both speech and language needs as outlined in students' individualized education plans (IEPs) Assist in assessing and documenting student progress, maintaining thorough records in compliance with school policies Prepare, organize, and utilize therapy materials and activities tailored to students' functional communication goals Participate actively in IEP meetings and team discussions by offering insights on student development Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and staff to ensure consistent support and generalization of skills within the classroom This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in students' academic and social outcomes while gaining valuable school-based experience.
