Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting students in a school-based setting near Converse, TX. This contract position offers a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week, beginning as soon as possible and extending through May 28th, 2027. You'll play a crucial part in helping children achieve their communication goals within a collaborative educational environment.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid SLPA license or certification in the state of Texas. Experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations is highly valued. Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to student care. Ability to implement treatment plans designed by supervising Speech-Language Pathologists. Strong organizational skills and effective communication with teachers, staff, and parents. Familiarity with documentation and progress reporting for special education services.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the delivery of speech and language services under the supervision of a licensed SLP. Work with students individually and in small groups to support articulation, language, fluency, and social communication goals. Document session activities and student progress according to school and state guidelines. Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support each student's IEP goals within the classroom setting. Participate in training, staff meetings, and professional development as needed.
