Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting students in a vibrant school setting near Dayton, TX. This contract role offers you the chance to make a meaningful impact over a part-time schedule—just two days a week—from November through March. By bringing your expertise and bilingual abilities, you'll help foster communication skills that are vital for student success. What we're looking for: Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Bilingual proficiency, enabling you to provide effective support for diverse student populations Previous experience in a school or pediatric environment is highly valued Strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate with supervising SLPs and educational staff Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and student advocacy Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage students, families, and colleagues Key duties: Work closely with a supervising SLP to implement therapy plans and track student progress Deliver direct support to school-aged children, targeting speech, language, and communication development in both English and another language Maintain thorough documentation of student goals, session activities, and outcomes Participate in team meetings, consultations, and professional development when needed Support a positive learning environment through compassion, encouragement, and culturally responsive practices This contract assignment enables you to enhance your skills within a supportive educational setting with a manageable, consistent schedule.
