Job Description
Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding career opportunity providing Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) support in a dynamic educational environment near New Braunfels, TX! This contract role offers 37.5 hours per week, with assignments beginning as soon as possible and concluding on May 28th, 2027. Thrive in a collaborative setting dedicated to empowering students' communication skills.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid SLPA certification or licensure in Texas required. Experience working in a school setting or with children preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate with supervising SLPs, teachers, and school staff. Flexibility, reliability, and a commitment to supporting student growth.
Responsibilities:
Work under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to provide direct and indirect speech therapy services to students. Support classroom teachers and school teams to integrate speech/language strategies into the academic curriculum. Document student progress and maintain accurate records of service delivery. Assist with the preparation of therapy materials and classroom modifications as directed. Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development as appropriate.
