Responsibilities Assist in implementing speech-language therapy plans tailored to each client's needs, including children and students with disabilities. Support speech therapy sessions through direct interaction, reinforcement of exercises, and data collection under the supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, share insights, and ensure comprehensive support for clients' communication goals. Maintain accurate documentation of therapy activities, progress notes, and session outcomes aligned with IEP (Individualized Education Program) requirements. Support early intervention programs by working with young children to promote child language development and address speech disorders support. Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote therapy sessions when applicable, ensuring continuity of care in various settings. Communicate effectively with clients, families, teachers, and other professionals to foster understanding and engagement in therapy processes. Qualifications Prior experience working with children, students with disabilities, or in pediatric settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech production and language processing. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology and acute care environments. Experience supporting language disorders and implementing speech therapy plans effectively. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in school or healthcare settings. Bilingual skills are a plus for serving diverse populations. Strong understanding of child language development stages and early intervention strategies. Demonstrated commitment to client communication, confidentiality, and ethical practices in therapy delivery.
