Job Description
Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity is available for two Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) on a contract basis for the 2026-2027 school year. These positions will provide essential support within elementary and middle school settings, helping students achieve their communication goals. One role focuses on elementary students, while the other role offers the chance to work with middle school students; previous experience at the middle school level is preferred for that position. You will be part of a collaborative team that includes a virtual Speech-Language Pathologist for additional supervision and support. Qualifications & Experience:
Current Washington SLPA licensure, or willingness to obtain WA licensure and OSPI fingerprint clearance Experience working in school settings highly valued
Preferred:
Middle school experience (for the middle school-focused role) Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to work independently while following guidance from a supervising
SLP Key Responsibilities:
Assist in delivering speech and language interventions to students as directed by a supervising SLP Collect data and track student progress Prepare materials and support classroom-based communication Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs) Communicate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary professionals
